An eBook is a prime example of lead-generating content – when designed correctly. It must always be enticing and easy to read. It must be attractive to your target group. It must provide new information. And it must inspire. These are the basic requirements.

An eBook should ideally attract downloads from your website, and it should be shared on your social media. And the prerequisite for access to such freebies is, of course, permissions.

An eBook is also great for retaining current customers. Use it to share inspiration and show that you have your finger on the pulse in their particular field. For instance, you might release a chapter in each newsletter as a serial. Once people have read chapter one, there is a good chance that they will open the newsletter the following week to read chapter two. And in this way, an e-book can also help to boost your opening rates.
